Going

The program is new. The thinking behind it is not.

The lessons successful adults often learn too late, taught earlier to the next generation.

It started with one question.

why not earlier?

Why do successful adults spend decades learning communication, accountability, negotiation, relationships, resilience and leadership, instead of being taught those skills earlier?

After years working across business, investing, development and international environments, Lin Li became more and more interested in that question. The capabilities that matter most in adult life seemed to arrive late, and mostly by accident.

Working closely with experienced leaders, and studying how mature leadership systems actually change behavior, reinforced a simple idea. Many of the most valuable adult capabilities can be redesigned and taught much earlier.

GOING is that redesign. Lin’s role is to bring the pieces together: product design, experienced leaders, mentors, speakers, events and real-world experiences, across an international network.

High standards. Genuine care for people.

One important source behind GOING is the leadership and people-development experience of Gino Blefari.

His archive holds more than 500 leadership articles, published over more than a decade. Reading across them, the same themes return again and again:

  • Goals and execution
  • Discipline and preparation
  • Listening and presence
  • Responding to setbacks
  • Recognition and gratitude
  • Teams that improve together
  • Adapting
  • Learning from mentors
  • Courage and integrity
  • Commitments and ownership
  • Service
  • Developing future leaders

None of these ideas is new, and many of them he credits to his own mentors. What stands out is how he combines them and lives them: an exacting standard, held together with real care for the person being held to it.

GOING is exploring how mature principles like these can be redesigned for the next generation. The GOING curriculum itself is new work, written for teenagers.

Confident in the method. Honest about the stage.

  • No invented results.

The first founding cohort is still ahead of us. You will not find success statistics here until students have earned them.

  • No borrowed credibility.

No testimonials we did not receive. No partners or sponsors we do not have. No ideas presented as ours that belong to someone else.

  • No shortcuts with safety.

No adult is ever alone with a student, and nothing a student does has to be posted publicly.

  • No packaging.

We don’t write a teenager’s story for them. We make sure they have one.

Don’t wait until adulthood to learn how adulthood works.

We are preparing the first founding cohort. Joining the list is not a commitment. It means you hear first.
